Your crown is designed to be easy to wear, comfortable all day and adaptable to your style. Here’s everything you need to know, from how to style it, to what it’s made of, and how to keep it looking its best.

Styling elastics
Soft, secure and gentle on your hair. Use the included elastics to create the perfect fit.

Attachment hoops
Small hoops on the back of the crown hold it: thread one of the included styling elastics through them, then anchor with bobby pins.

Bobby pins
Use the included bobby pins to anchor the crown, especially for finer hair or more intricate styles.

Natural Wood: a hand-painted, carved-wood look, warm and earthy.
Earth Silver: a softly toned, hand-painted silver look with a gentle sheen.

Keep dry, avoid harsh chemicals, store it in its box and wipe gently with a soft cloth to maintain the finish.
The real materials
Each crown begins as a sculptural printed form, then is hand-painted in your choice of finish and sealed. It attaches with a styling elastic threaded through the hoops on the back, anchored with bobby pins. Because every crown is painted by hand, slight variations in colour and texture are part of what makes yours unique.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does shipping take?
The Barn Owl Back Crown is hand-painted to order and ships within 14 days, so it arrives in about three weeks, from the US with tracking. The Woodland Antler and Celtic Antler crowns are made to order and ship in 4–6 weeks. Shipping is a flat $8 however many you order.
What if I order the Barn Owl and an antler crown together?
Your Barn Owl ships first, within 14 days. Your made-to-order crown follows in its own parcel when it’s ready, and that second shipment is on us.
Is there a deal on more than one?
Yes: any 2 Barn Owl Back Crowns are $90 and any 3 are $120, in any mix of finishes. The price drops automatically in your cart. The made-to-order antler crowns aren’t part of the deal yet.
What is the crown made from?
Each crown is a sculptural printed form, hand-painted in your choice of finish and sealed. It’s light and rigid, so please don’t bend it, and keep it out of hot cars.
How do I choose the right finish?
Natural Wood is a hand-painted, carved-wood look, warm and earthy; Earth Silver is a softly toned, hand-painted silver look. Or take the Owl Duo and wear both. Both are painted to order, and their photos are digital previews until the first pieces are photographed.
What is the Owl Duo?
The Barn Owl Back Crown in both finishes, Natural Wood and Earth Silver, in one order, each with its own styling essentials.
Will it stay in fine or thin hair?
Thread one of the included styling elastics through the crown’s attachment hoops, position it at the back of a half-up style, then anchor it with the bobby pins. It’s light, so it sits comfortably all day.
Can I return or exchange my order?
Yes, within 30 days. If your crown arrives broken, send us a photo and we’ll paint you another.
Do you ship internationally?
Not yet. We ship within the US for now.
